Also discussed, a far more mundane, but perennial topic—how to get paid.  Regardless of whether an attorney is fighting over a cutting-edge legal issue or a garden-variety property dispute, obtaining payment in a family law case can be a challenge in instances where there is a disparity in resources between the spouses.  Other wrinkles arise where one spouse has access to funds outside the community.  Cindy’s chapter discusses recent case law squarely addressing the issue.
