GMSR warmly welcomes new appellate fellow Katarina Rusinas.
Katarina received her law degree from the University of California Los Angeles, School of Law, where she earned the highest grade in her Legal Research and Writing section and graduated in the top 10% of her class. During law school, Katarina co-wrote amicus briefs in First Amendment cases in the Ninth Circuit, Fifth Circuit, and Washington State Court of Appeal. She also helped to defend COVID-19 regulations as a Legal Fellow for the California Attorney General’s Office, conducted complex legislative research on behalf of UCLA faculty members, and provided direct legal services to low income individuals as part of UCLA’s Name and Gender Change clinic.
Katarina is also a former politico, having worked on local and national political campaigns prior to law school.
