GMSR partner Bob Olson has been inducted into the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel‘s Hall of Fame.
Bob has been a civil appellate lawyer for almost 35 years. He is past president of ASCDC and of California Defense Counsel, and an active member of ASCDC’s Amicus Committee. He argued Howell v. Hamilton Meats and Provisions, Inc. as an amicus on ASCDC’s behalf in the California Supreme Court. He is an elected member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, a past president of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers and certified as an Appellate Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He has taught Appellate Advocacy as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School and has been named to the The Best Lawyers in America® and Southern California “Super Lawyers” lists.
Bob obtained his law degree from Stanford University where he was elected to Order of the Coif. After receiving his law degree, he clerked for United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Judge, later United States Supreme Court Justice, Anthony M. Kennedy.
GMSR also salutes ASCDC’s two other honorees, Genie R. Harrison (Civil Advocate of the Year), and Hon. Lori R. Behar (Judge of the Year).
