The Court of Appeal reduced the judgment against GMSR’s client from $350,000 to $50,000 in an action against law enforcement officers for false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress, holding that Government Code section 821.6 bars an emotional distress claim based upon interrogation conducted in a criminal investigation.
