(LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, December 9, 2019) Tim Coates, Managing Partner at the appellate law firm of Greines, Martin, Stein & Richland LLP, headquartered in Los Angeles, was appointed Co-Chair of the International Municipal Lawyers Association’s California State Region.
The International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) confirmed the election of the 2019-2020 board during the recent Annual Conference. IMLA’s President Patrick Baker, City Attorney for Charlotte North Carolina, appointed Tim Coates as California State Co-Chair along with San Jose City Attorney Richard Doyle. Tim was honored to accept the appointment, stating: “My work over the past several years with IMLA staff and members has been personally and professionally rewarding. I look forward to encouraging local public entities and municipal attorneys throughout California to join IMLA in advancing the interests of local governments and helping them address the common problems they face in serving their citizens.”
Tim has represented municipalities in appellate courts across the United States, including six victories in the United States Supreme Court.
