GMSR is pleased to announce that partner David Hackett was elected to the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library.
Founded in 1891, the Los Angeles County Law Library holds over 1,000,000 volumes, including many rare and historical works, and is the second largest public law library in the United States—second only to the Law Library of Congress. The library provides services and access to legal information for judges, public officials, and attorneys, as well as many self-represented individuals who may have no other resource for conducting legal research. The Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library is the library’s fundraising organization and produces its annual Beacon of Justice Award Gala. GMSR partner Robin Meadow previously served on the organization’s board.
As one of the premier civil appellate law firms in the country, GMSR is proud to support the library’s mission of preserving legal history, providing expansive legal resources to all members of the public, and facilitating broader access to the justice system.
